FAQs

How long is does it take to create a bespoke bridal gown?

Creating a bespoke gown is an exciting process, it is a journey which will be part of the lead up to you wedding day. As a general rule we would suggest beginning this journey, at least 12 months before your wedding date, if you have less time available please contact us and we will make every effort to accommodate this.

I really like a dress from the collection, can I have one made for me?

Of course, we are so pleased that you like a piece from our collection, we will recreate the design to your precise measurements and make any adjustments to make the dress suit your proportions.

Can changes be made to the design of a bridal collection gown to suit me more?

If there is a gown that you like because of the fabric we can work with you to design a dress that suits using the fabric that you liked.

Or if you love a design but would like to make alterations to the shape, changing the neckline neckline for example, we can design around this discussion and present you with our suggestions based upon our original collection piece.

How much does a bespoke bridal gown cost?

Our bespoke bridal gowns start from £16,000. Prices depend on the design and complexity of your gown, this will be discussed during your consultation.

How many fittings will I need to attend?

After your initial consultations to discuss designs and fabrics, typically we will meet 2-3 times before construction of your gown begins. Once a design has been chosen you should expect to attend between 6-8 fittings throughout the creation of your bespoke gown.

Initial consultations can be arranged as video consultations if this is more convenient for you.

How many Guests can I bring with me to my consultations and fittings?

Our spacious showroom can accommodate large bridal parties, we ask that you notify us of how many guests you would like to bring with you so that we can be sure to accommodate your whole group.

In our experience it can be overwhelming to attend your initial consultations with a large group, we would recommend you attend with fewer guests whose trusted opinions will be helpful to you in the early stages of creating your gown.

Where will my consultations and fittings be held?

Our Atelier, studios and showroom are based in Tenterden, Kent. This is where your consultations and fittings will be held. If this is not convenient and you wish to hold your consultations and fittings in London please contact us and this can be arranged.

For initial consultations and international early stage consultations, we are able to offer video consultations throughout the design phase, until it is required for you to try on your gown.

What if I change my mind? Can I change my dress design?

During the initial consultations it is quite normal that you will change your mind several times, there is a lot to be considered. This is expected throughout the designing phase. However, once you have agreed on a design as your chosen gown and our atelier have begun to create this piece based upon that agreement, we will try our best o accommodate any feasible changes. But if these are large changes beyond the scope of the original design, these changes will be made and charge additionally to your originally quoted cost. These costs will be discussed with you individually based on each occasion.

I’m not based in the UK, can I still order a bespoke gown?

We welcome international clients to Maristani London, we can hold our initial consultations remotely and then accommodate fittings around your availability to travel. Please contact us for more information on this process.
